Elance.com is a portal where service providers submit proposals for projects. It is a great way of doing freelance work. Anyone with knowledge in Microsoft Office, web design, WordPress, Joomla and Google services like Google Webmaster tools, Google analytics can get a project of USD 50 and above.

Elance ensures that you get paid for your project as long as you archive client’s requirements. Elance offers arbitration in case of conflict between an Elance employer and you – the service provider.

After sign up;
- You need to set up a profile
- Take free test on skills of your choice

Taking an Elance test enables you to flaunt your area of expertise or skill. For example you can take a test on Google Webmaster Tools, or HTML, or WordPress. Good test results may help you get more projects = more money.

Free membership on Elance is free, but you will be limited to 3 proposals per month. Paid membership enable s you to submit 20 proposals a month, one wire transfer per month.
